Today I have a new pair of socks. Having a new pair of handknit socks in November is such a wonderful thing that it’s impossible to blog about anything else.

Here they are:The flash, as usual, has really lightened the colour. These are much darker in real life, and they look like they match better. It’s my usual ribbed pattern that I kind of modify as I go. The yarn is Gedifra Sportivo, which I bought years ago because I thought this was a Dragonfire colourway. I still think that – and now, it’ll keep my toes toasty warm too.
