Pineapple Star Quilted!

I’m excited to see this one completed. Here it is!

Pineapple star quilt by Deborah Cooke

I told you about my Pineapple Star once before. It languished a (long) while in my To Be Finished pile, but last week, I dug it out and got to it. I had only two corners left to quilt, then decided to quilt that green line around the border, too.

I was pretty chuffed to find more of that contrasting pink in the stash for the binding.

And now it’s done! Hurrah!

If I ever did a quilt in this design again (ha) I would choose different colours and values than I did with this one. I do love the fussy-cut center and the kaliedescope effect from that. The star points kind of disappear into that glorious Kimono print. There should be more of that vivid green, although that and the deep purple were remnants from the stash and I used every crumb of the purple. The teeny tiny border used the last of the green and it’s tiny because there was so little left.
